A retinal exam without the use of dilating drops???

Sound too good to be true? It's not! We are pleased to offer the latest in optomap retinal imaging technology.

The optomap produces an image that is unique and provides us with a high-resolution 200° image in order to ascertain the health of your retina. This is much wider than a traditional 45° image that older retinal cameras allowed us to see.

This state-of-the-art technology allows us to monitor for complications such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and retinal holes or detachments. We can also see small details that can assist with detecting systemic problems unrelated to the eye such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer/tumors, auto-immune disorders and more.

The optomap retinal exam is as fast as taking a picture and does NOT require dilating drops!*

These photos are saved in your file, enabling us to make important comparisons during your annual eye examination.

The optomap contributes to our standard of care and improves patient education and satisfaction. At Wadas Eye, we are dedicated to offering our patients the best eye care possible. We look forward to showing you this amazing technology at your next appointment!

*Please note, under certain circumstances we may still have to dilate your eyes.*
